Instagram Q&A Templates – Jenevive Health

Internship project at Jenevive Health creating a reusable, branded carousel template system for patient education on Instagram.

Project Overview

As part of my internship at Jenevive Health, I created a flexible system of Instagram carousel templates for the company's Papaya for HS account, which educates and supports patients with Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS).

The goal was to design a branded, reusable, and scalable template system that could accommodate anywhere from 2 to 10 slides per post, ensuring readability, shareability, and engagement. Posts had to follow Jenevive Health's guidelines (Poppins font, purple color palette, friendly but authoritative voice) while remaining approachable to patients.

Goals

  • Design a modular template system for educational Q&As.
  • Ensure readability and hierarchy on small screens.
  • Encourage shareability by making posts visually consistent and easy to follow.
  • Empower the team to create future posts quickly without re-inventing layouts.

My Role

  • Template Design: Created multiple slide layout variations (cover, question, answer, summary).
  • Brand Application: Applied Papaya for HS brand identity (Poppins typography, purple palette, consistent iconography).
  • Flexibility: Built layouts that scale seamlessly from 2–10 slides.
  • Optimization: Focused on contrast, spacing, and typography size for mobile readability.
  • Collaboration: Coordinated with the content team to match visuals with medical accuracy and tone.

Process

1. Research & Brand Study

Reviewed Papaya for HS branding guidelines: purple palette, Poppins font, tone (friendly yet credible).

2. Template Exploration

Designed variations for:

  • Cover Slide: Eye-catching question or topic.
  • Content Slides: Question + short, digestible answer.
  • Summary Slide: Key takeaway or “Save/Share this post.”

3. Flexibility Testing

Ensured templates worked for short carousels (2–3 slides) and long educational posts (up to 10 slides) without feeling repetitive.

4. Readability Optimization

Adjusted spacing, font sizing, and contrast for clarity on Instagram's 1080×1080 px format.

5. Delivery

Packaged a full set of templates and examples that the Jenevive Health team could reuse across future posts.

Reflection & Outcome

This project taught me how to design scalable social media systems that balance branding with flexibility. By building a template library, I helped Jenevive Health streamline content creation for Instagram, while ensuring posts were consistent, accessible, and patient-friendly.

The templates empowered the team to continue producing high-quality, shareable content that spreads awareness of HS and strengthens the Papaya for HS community presence online.
